What I love most about Exposure X5 are all the fantastic analog-like presets that faithfully mimic the look of many different films, including ones that have been long discontinued. Once you’ve discovered which presets you like best, you can “star” those for faster future access. These presets will quickly give your photographs various looks, mostly based on actual film. There are over 500 one-click presets on Exposure X5 to choose from. But not everyone is a JPEG shooter, and some of you who follow Fuji X Weekly use RAW, so this article is for those who need a RAW developer.īelow are my top five favorite Exposure X5 features for Fujifilm photographers! I found that oftentimes I can achieve my desired look for a photograph in-camera, and not having to edit my pictures saves me a ton of time. This software company, until recently, was called Alien Skin, but with the latest version of Exposure they dropped that brand name, and are now known simply as Exposure. I tried a number of different software options to process my pictures, and by far my favorite was Exposure. I shoot JPEGs, but for many years I used RAW. Well, I NOW think Exposure 3 may just beat Silver Efex for B&W conversions! Not 100% yet but I am really digging the speed and the vintage presets AND you get B&W and COLOR film stocks, not just B&W. I used to have Expousre 1 and 2 but gave it up when I started to use Nik Silver Efex Pro. Alien Skin Exposure 3 – Rockin’ some new filters!īeen a slow week for camera revciews but I have a Nikon D3100 and D7000 on the way, and a Panasonic GH2 soon so I will be reviewing those VERY VERY Soon! In the meantime…today I downloaded the demo for Alien Skin Exposure 3 and it seems REALLY fast with Photoshop CS5 which I also upgraded to.
